What are Education Fairs?
Education fairs are amongst the most popular way of meeting and recruiting national and international students for colleges and universities all over the world. Organised by commercial companies, national bodies, professional associations, universities and schools they provide an ideal meeting opportunity for students and education institutions. In their simplest form, education fairs offer space for your institution to meet prospective students interested in taking the types of programmes that you offer.
Many different formats exist for education fairs. Often held in hotels or convention centres, most offer booths or stands where institutions can display their presentation material and speak to students interested in their academic programmes. In some cases education fairs are comprehensive, offering all subject areas and qualification levels; others are single sector focusing on a specific academic area such as engineering or nursing, or an academic level, such as graduate qualifications. Some fairs only exhibit institutions from one country; others take a more international and inclusive approach.
Like similar events in different sectors, education fairs provide an entire infrastructure to promote your institution to as wide an audience as possible. Newspaper supplements, print and online advertising, brochures and supplements and campus marketing campaigns are just some of the ways that fair organisers seek to encourage qualified students to attend their events and meet you and your colleagues.
